Every time 36 participants board the boat, they must learn to adapt to life on board

On the 20th anniversary of Zhifeng’s retirement, more than a dozen former coaches, former captains and former principals of the Zhifeng spent more than a year co-authoring the book “The Zhifeng: Cradle of Outreaching Spirit” and noted the outreach for young people Training opportunities, training them to develop leadership skills, hoping to teach others to grow and share the experience of jumping out of the comfort zone, to encourage Hong Kong people not to be discouraged in the storm and adversity.

The Zhifeng was built with a donation from the Jockey Club in the 1970s. It is owned by the Hong Kong Outreach Training School and is responsible for providing sea training.

In addition to the captain and several crew members, Zhifeng will arrange about 36 participants on board each time, divided into three teams on average. Each team has a coach. The trainees are responsible for the division of labor and have "bred" more than 10,000 trainees over the years.

"Seeing the truth in troubled times" Know yourself and discover your strengths and weaknesses. The

sea is changeable, the wind and waves are unpredictable, and the journey on the boat has thrilling pictures from time to time. Ye Zhicheng, one of the editors of "Zhifeng" bluntly said "See the truth in troubled times". I can better understand my own strengths and weaknesses, and I also see human nature, "Some people will sit and rest on the grounds of seasickness, but some group members will stick to their posts. In extreme weather and conditions, human nature is more real. ." Li Zhiming, who is also an editorial board member, also described that Zhifeng is a tool for participants to better understand themselves and discover their strengths and weaknesses.

When the waves are turned up, and even the sea water enters the cabin, who can be alone?

Ye Zhicheng’s greatest experience is: "Even if the weather (external environment) is bad, you have to find your own way out so that you can survive. You can’t ignore and do nothing, but the result must be shared together. in danger."

Huang Weijian, editor of "Zhifeng", suggested that Hong Kong people should practice and equip themselves to turn adversity into power confrontation.

Another editorial board member, Huang Weijian, was a lifeguard at a five-star hotel. He met Zhifeng by chance and was deeply touched by participating in it as a student. "It turns out that as long as you maintain your will, you can exert your limits in a poor environment. Ability", inspired him to challenge himself constantly, participate in other experience journeys, and devote himself to becoming an outreach training coach: "During the journey, he will be under pressure and adapt to changes in the environment, but those 18 days will change his life and know himself more deeply. The Bian Qing students who were half-er, half-coaxed by social workers on board the ship, met by chance many years later, and were very grateful for the training on board at that time.” The

amendments, the epidemic, and the national security laws must change their mentality and turn adversity into motivation.

During the preparations for the publication of the book, he experienced the anti-amendment regulations and the epidemic. Ye Zhicheng sent a message to the people of Hong Kong to unite and do their part, and to wait for the good times in adversity. Huang Weijian believes that “no one knows whether there will be storms, lightning strikes, sea tornadoes tomorrow, but all You must have a positive attitude and discover your potential." He suggested that Hong Kong people should experience and equip themselves. "Experience the turmoil of the amendments and the epidemic. It is unexpected. If there is a national security law, it will almost stop, even if the epidemic is unemployed, etc. Choosing to emigrate will not be able to avoid the epidemic, and no one is immune, so you have to experience and strengthen your will...In response to the social climate and external conditions, you have to analyze the situation, prepare for transformation, and change your mentality. Adversity turned into a driving force for confrontation.”
