On the 11th of this month, at the security station of the University Station of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, about 8 people in black pulled down the railings. A 55-year-old male security guard was sprayed with unknown powder. Afterwards, he felt discomfort in his eyes and was sent to the hospital for treatment.

On the same day, the police arrested a 20-year-old man surnamed Cao on suspicion of "disorderly conduct in public places" and "ordinary assault."

After investigation, the police identified 4 persons involved. New Territories South Region Criminal Division (Operations) Superintendent Chen Zhichang said that at about 12:15 noon on the 11th of this month, 9 men in black and masked went to the CUHK security post in the square outside Exit A of MTR University Station. Several bags of unidentified white powder were thrown on the security guards, eggs were thrown at the security station and the iron horse was pushed down. A security guard was injured in the process.

The university security guard immediately pursued the person involved, and subsequently successfully intercepted one of the 20-year-old students suspected of being involved in the case.

Chen pointed out that the school called the police for help that day, and the lawsuit process was also photographed by the campus CCTV, so after the investigation, four more people involved in the case could be locked.

And yesterday (25th) in Sha Tin, Tsuen Wan and Fanling, they arrested three more secondary and university students on suspicion of "illegal assembly" and "attack others with intent to cause non-action". One of them is at large and is currently wanted The incident is still under investigation, and it is not ruled out that more people were arrested.

The police initially believe that they committed crimes because they were dissatisfied with the access management measures implemented by CUHK since November 2019, and opposed the arrangement of showing student ID or other identification documents to enter the campus. Therefore, they committed a crime with the intent of "attacking others with the intention of not doing certain actions The person involved in the case was arrested.

The Interim Administrative Committee of the CUHK Student Union responded to the incident on Facebook last night, stating that at least three CUHK students were arrested in the incident. One of them was the chairman of the Interim Administrative Committee of the association, Ou Zhuoxi. The volunteer lawyer team is following up; the article also mentions the police. After searching the dormitories of Shanheng, Hesheng, Wu Yisun and other colleges, the meeting expressed regret over the police actions and condemned the school for refusing to deal with campus security issues.
