Fürstenfeldbruck - Donald Trump has left the White House after four years as US President.
As a result, the admonishing portrait of the outgoing US President in Fürstenfeldbruck was also removed.
Since Trump's inauguration in January 2016, the image of the American President has hung in the heart of Fürstenfeldbruck - a work by the Bruck artist Veit-Peter Walther.
His works were often related to current political issues - including his portrayal of Donald Trump.
"In an aggressive pose with rodent-like incisors, framed by gnawed pieces of wood from Brucker Biber, the work of art was a constant reminder of how the former US president and his assistants gnawed and destroyed democratic values bit by bit until the very end," describes Janick Walther, son of the artist who died in 2017.
The work hung in Ludwigstrasse, by the passage to the Brezengasserl.
Many Bruckers marveled at the humorous illustration on their walk through the city center, says Walther.
Even during the city tours, crowds of people often gathered around the work of art.
But the US citizens voted in favor of democracy and against Donald Trump.
So the picture had to go.
It is still completely open which new work of art will adorn the shed in the future, reports Walther.
"A good day, no more Trump", sums up widow Bente Walther.
"This creates space for something new, positive." Imu
