Syrian Bakeries in Homs .. Creation of new bakeries, rehabilitation and other maintenance

Technical workshops at the Syrian Foundation for Bakeries, in cooperation and in coordination with the Syrian Branch of Bakeries in Homs, have begun rehabilitation and maintenance operations for a number of bakeries in the governorate, including the Rastan automated bakery, which was damaged during the crisis.

Bassam Al-Hassan, Director of the Syrian Bakeries in Homs, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the rehabilitation of the Rastan bakery has been initiated with a contract of ninety days, where work began in it at the beginning of the current year and the implementation rate reached 20 percent, and during the first phase the construction and production lines are prepared, indicating that allocations are being manufactured to meet the needs of citizens In the region, by renting a temporary headquarters for the bakery in the Sports Federation building in Rastan, the daily allowance is about 14 tons of flour.

He said that contact is being made with the concerned authorities in the Syrian Corporation for Bakeries to create a bakery in Shin district in the western countryside of Homs, after allocating land served by the infrastructure of electricity and water and located within the organizational plan by the municipality in addition to continuing to equip Marmarita and Anaz bakeries with production lines after the completion of the construction as it started. The process of rehabilitating the roof of the fully automatic Tal Kalakh bakery and isolating the roof of the Deir Baalba bakery from Al-Rashah indicating that last year the production line in Deir Baalba and Nozha bakeries was updated and the Zahra bakery was put under investment and production.

Al-Hassan indicated that all the supplies and raw materials for the manufacture of bread are available from yeast, both dry and soft, fuel, salt, flour and packing bags.

It is noteworthy that there are 27 production lines in the bakeries of the Syrian Establishment for Bakeries in Homs.
