Zohar: "The fines law will pass as worded"
Ultra-Orthodox educational institutions in many centers around the country have opened, in parallel with efforts to pass the bill to increase fines.
The coalition chairman claimed that the bill would pass in the original version, after the committee of inquiry sat down for another day without a vote.

Violations of the Corona guidelines in dozens of ultra-Orthodox educational institutions, including from the mainstream, continue today (Thursday), in parallel with efforts to pass the bill to increase fines.
Coalition chairman MK Miki Zohar announced this morning (Thursday) that "the fines law will pass today in its original wording."
He said, "We will work to have it voted today so that we can immediately begin enforcing all those who do not follow the guidelines.
MK Zohar noted that" the Prime Minister, the Minister of Health and the Likud continue to work in every way for public health, both by bringing in millions of vaccines and Through enforcement and actions to reduce morbidity. "
His announcement came despite opposition from the ultra-Orthodox factions to the wording of the original law and after a difficult conversation last night between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin, MK Moshe Gafni and Chairman of the Constitution Committee MK Yaakov Asher from Torah Judaism.
During the conversation, Netanyahu was furious that the ultra-Orthodox were opposed to advancing the law, thus allowing a blue-and-white political campaign against the Likud, which would undermine their power during the upcoming elections.
