The deterioration of a fuel tanker on the Homs-Tartous road

Today, a fuel tanker has deteriorated on the international road Homs-Tartous near the Khirbet Ghazi junction, west of Homs.

The Director of the Civil Defense Branch in Homs, Brigadier General Ghayath Aqil, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the tanker was loaded with gas and was heading to the city of Homs, and the reason for its deterioration was the rains that the region witnessed, stressing that the damage was limited to materials.

Aqil pointed out that the civil defense personnel, together with the highway police, took immediately all safety and precaution measures to prevent the material from igniting and securing the road, and work is being done to raise the tanker and return it to the road.
