A new study revealed that air purifiers may cause more harm than good during the Corona epidemic and can help spread Covid 19 drops in confined spaces.
According to the New York Post, a study conducted by researchers at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus entitled Fluid Physics that an air purifier reduces the dispersion of droplets, but does not eliminate them.
The researchers noted that the built-in air inlet inside the purification equipment stimulates the flow that can increase the transfer of contaminated saliva droplets in any confined spaces, including small rooms in residential or commercial facilities, parking lots and stores, as well as the cabin of aircraft, submarines and spacecraft.
The researchers suggested that future ventilation and purification systems should aim to reduce airborne virus transmission by minimizing droplet dispersion.
