Homs-Sana
To Homs, Deek, Jana and its beautiful areas, the poets of the Syrian Jasmine Forum dedicated their poems to their third meeting, which was hosted by the Cultural Center in Homs and attended by a group of intellectuals and interested persons.
The meeting began with the poet “Sana al-Muhammad” with two patriotic poems, the first entitled “The Winds of the Khamseen” and the second, “Wards and Fire,” in which she expresses with sadness one of the terrorist bombings that targeted Homs during the war, which claimed the lives of five girls of the age of roses.
The poet “Abd al-Karim Muzna” presented patriotic and sentimental poems that mimic our reality and what it has suffered due to the war and siege.
The poet "Amjad Issa" participated in patriotic and sentimental poems, including an elegy for the martyr pilot, who soared like an eagle, lofty towards the heights and heights, redeeming the homeland.
With soft, flirtatious words close to the Nizaris, the poet “Talib al-Najm” sings of his love for Homs, with sensual images and uncomplicated compositions.
The poet, Dr. Afaf Al-Khalil concluded the meeting with two poems, the first of which is a lyrical poem entitled “What is the most wonderful of you” and the second, entitled “My Motherland”, dedicated to the resurgent Syria like a phoenix, using an enthusiastic style balanced with the subject.
About the Syrian Jasmine Forum, its objectives and segments, Dr. Hawash Nasr Al-Saleh, director of the forum, explained in an interview with “SANA Cultural” that the forum, which was established two months ago, includes poets, writers and writers from Homs and aims to highlight the cultural identity of the city of Homs and honor its creators who have left and left an imprint in cultural life. and intellectual in it.
