These agreements embody a promise made by the leaders in the region: to build a better life with security and opportunities for all of us

Signing the Abrahamic Agreements is without a doubt one of the greatest milestones in the Middle East in our lives.

The celebrations around the first year of their establishment are also an opportunity to reflect on the successful period that is going on in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region in general.

This is also the time to look ahead to the unlimited possibilities that are down the road.

As one of the members of the small Jewish community in the Arabian Gulf, this has a special meaning for me.

As a citizen of the region, I am full of excitement at the construction of a new Middle East that focuses on coexistence and prosperity.

I would like to thank the King of Bahrain, His Majesty Hamad bin Issa al-Khalifa, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa, for their leadership, their vision and the courage to lead our nation with their heads held high and boldly towards The future through the signing of the Abrahamic Covenants.

These agreements embody a promise that the leaders in the region have promised: to build a better life with security and opportunities for all of us, and for future generations to come.

Towards the first anniversary of the agreements, I am now just as excited as I was when I sat on the White House lawn on September 15, 2020, as a member of the delegation of Bahrain's Foreign Minister, His Excellency 'Abd al-Latif bin Rashd al-Ziani.

As we begin our journey towards a new era in Bahrain-Israel relations, it is important to remember that at the core of the agreement is the desire to create a new Middle East, built on peace and prosperity for all.

I believe that the growing partnerships between Bahrain and Israel will lead to lasting peace in the region.
