The commander of the Air Force, Major General Amikam Nurkin, decided tonight (Wednesday) to suspend training for learning, following an incident that occurred today in one of the corps' squadrons.
During a workshop to deal with air and ground threats, held today in the south of the country, a member of the air crew, looked away from the plane screen and did not notice that he had lost altitude and approached the ground.
The navigator who was with him recognized the lowering, alerted and pulled the plane upwards.
The pilot joined in this action and following the quick identification, both were out of danger.
Due to the incident, the workshop was stopped and the incident is being investigated.
