At nearly 9 am today (13th), a truck caught fire suddenly on Tuen Mun Highway towards Kowloon towards Tsing Lung Tau. The driver parked the truck on the side of the road and left the carriage.
It can be seen from the scene that the truck containers are blazing with flames, smoke is permeating, and the containers are burnt and blackened.
The firefighter arrived at the scene and opened his throat to fight the blaze. After about 9 minutes, the fire was quickly put out. No one was injured in the fire alarm.
The Transport Department announced that the middle and slow lanes of Tuen Mun Highway (toward Kowloon) near Ho King Garden have been closed due to vehicle fires.
Motorists can only use express lanes.
Traffic on the site is heavy at present.
