Near the sea off Ponte 16, in Macau's inner harbor, at 7:00 p.m. today (25th), many ships caught fire in a series. A large amount of black smoke rose from the scene and the fire was fierce, and explosions were heard many times.
The Macau Fire Department has dispatched firefighters to the scene and opened their throats for rescue.
As seen in the online video, there were two rows of fishing boats moored at the scene, with about 20 boats in each row.
The fishing boat in the middle of one row suddenly caught fire in the evening, and the fire spread to the fishing boats on both sides.
Several fishing boats were caught in a sea of fire, and explosions were heard many times at the scene, and fireballs and thick smoke shot hundreds of meters into the sky.
Chinese Coast Guard ships arrived to help fight the fire
It is reported that a number of government departments including the Macao Fire Department, the Marine Department and the Customs have dispatched personnel to fight the fire.
At the scene, a boat was seen shooting water at the fishing boat on fire, but the fire was too intense to prevent the fire from spreading. By 8 p.m., about 6 boats were affected by the raging fire.
At about 8 p.m., a Chinese Coast Guard boat sailed to the scene to help put out the fire.
Rescue ships from Macau have also continued to arrive.
Macau Customs dispatched speedboats to pick up relevant personnel and drove the unaffected fishing boats away from the fire.
Shore firefighters opened their throats and shot water at the fire.
