On Wednesday evening, there was a truck fire on the A7 in Hamburg. Since then, the A7 northbound from Marmstorf has been closed. Clean-up work is ongoing.
Hamburg – It was already dark, around 20 p.m., when flames wafted into the sky this Wednesday evening, August 30, 2023. On the A7 near Hamburg, there was probably a serious accident involving a truck (truck) belonging to the Hamburg logistics company BSL Transportation Consultants.

"The fire brigade is still extinguishing," a police spokesman confirmed to Ippen.Media. The carriageway of the A7 shortly before Heimfeld in the direction of Hamburg was closed. The truck is currently on the hard shoulder. This can also be seen in the photos of our reporter. How long the extinguishing work and the associated closure of the danger point last, the police spokesman could not say at the moment. The cause of the fire has also not yet been clarified. According to the first state of knowledge, there are no casualties.
Around 22:15 p.m., the emergency services were able to report "fire out". However, extensive post-extinguishing work is still necessary. For this purpose, the truck, which was loaded with pressed waste, is also to be unloaded on the motorway.
