The transition from kindergarten to school is a significant and exciting moment for every child, and certainly for his parents. The Cohen family from Ra'anana is experiencing these feelings today, but three times as many as anyone else: The three children – daughters Shai-Li and Lia and son Eliav – are entering first grade together and will begin their studies this morning at the Dekel school in their hometown.
This excitement has accompanied their parents, Stavit and Liran, for a long time. "We're super excited because this trio is really a miracle," the mother admits. "These three children were born weighing 1,600kg, but have grown and developed into amazing children. We won, and so did they.

"The excitement at home is great. The children have already met with their teachers, the backpacks are long overdue, and the anticipation grows by the minute."
Shai-Li, Liya, and Eliav have family lineage, which may certainly help them settle in elementary school. Their grandmother, Kochav Cohen, is herself the principal of another elementary school in Ra'anana, Ziv, and recently answered all their questions and calmed all fears about the difficult transition from kindergarten to school.
All multiplied by three
"The meeting at the school was amazing, and I think the children got great teachers and an amazing principal," added Stavit. "Shai-Li and Eliav will study in one class, and Lia in the other. The kids are really excited, and frankly they've already fallen in love with their teachers."
And how do you take over an organization of three small children in the morning, who have to go to school together? It's not an easy challenge, she says.
"We get up very early. Each child has a different character, a different pace, and of course his own uniqueness. Everyone is meticulous about order, organization and patterned appearance.
"Personally, I'm already adept at doing anything double three: brushing, clothes, breakfast, hairstyles, preparing a ten-night meal – taking into account the personal preferences of each of the three children. It's complicated and tiring, but really satisfying once you leave the house."
