Edna Blustein, 79, from Ra'anana, was murdered in the combined attack that took place in the city on Monday. In the attack, the terrorist, a resident of the Hebron area, ran over pedestrians at two locations in the city and stabbed one person at another location.
Bluestein was critically injured when she was standing near a bus stop at the corner of Ahuza Street and Jerusalem, along with 14 other people, some of them students from the nearby school. She was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Ra'anana Mayor Haim Broida said: "We share in the family's sorrow over the murder today of city resident Edna Blustein and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Today we dealt with two scenes of attack, and the speed of response by the municipal security personnel, the police and the municipal alert squads prevented a larger attack, saved more lives and enabled the capture of the two terrorists quickly."
