In the early hours of the morning, he struck: At Brudermühlstraße, a woman was brutally attacked by a hitherto unknown person. Now the police are hoping for clues from the public.

Munich - Who can provide information about the crime that took place in Munich in the early hours of last Sunday (14 January)? According to the police, a 57-year-old woman was the victim of a crime on the way to her apartment. The perpetrator is still on the run. According to the official police report, the woman was on her way home around five o'clock in the morning when an unknown man followed her at the Brudermühlstraße subway station.

At the stairs of Resi-Huber-Platz, the man then approached her and suddenly hit her head with a bottle, then grabbed her handbag and made off. The 57-year-old then fled to a passer-by on the surface, who notified the police. At the same time, the unknown perpetrator disappeared on Thalkirchner Strasse
into the city.

The 57-year-old was injured in the act and had to be taken to hospital by the ambulance service, immediately initiated search measures revealed no clues to the perpetrator. The man is described as follows:

  • Male, about 30 years old
  • dark complexion
  • short black hair
  • black clothing
  • Shoes with white sole

Now the police are asking for information from the public: Who made observations in the area of the subway station Brudermühlstraße, Thalkirchner Straße and Implerstraße (Sendling) in the specified period that could be related
to this incident? Persons who can provide relevant information are asked to contact the Munich Police Headquarters, Commissioner's Office 21, Tel. 089/2910-0, or any other police station.
