An athlete is sure that during a marathon in Hawaii, a figure from legends appeared to her. She has photos that seem to prove it.

Honolulu — Runner Kay Borleis is convinced she encountered the ghost of an ancient warrior in a forest in Hawaii. And all this without even realizing it. One of her friends photographed Borleis during a marathon on the Honolulu Mauka Trails in Hawaii in 2019.

At first, the photo doesn't seem particularly conspicuous, but on closer inspection, a frightening dark figure can be seen in it. She seems to be lurking in the trees, staring at the runner.

Sportswoman has been puzzling over photo of sinister figure for years

Although the alleged encounter was almost five years ago, it still keeps Borleis on tenterhooks. "To this day, we still don't know what it was," the runner recently told the New York Post. But she is sure that it must be a paranormal apparition.

She explains that it couldn't be another runner because everyone was running clockwise and no one had overtaken her. "And tourists don't leave that early. We didn't see anyone for hours while running. So we were – and still are – sure that there was no one there." Adding to their suspicions, the photo was taken during a lunar eclipse, which is often associated with paranormal and mysterious sightings.

At the North Sea, a newspaper delivery man was recently followed by a creature with yellow, glowing eyes.

After eerie encounter in the forest: Sportswoman receives threatening letters

After the discovery, Borleis began researching the area for possible explanations and came across a local legend. It states that the region is haunted by the ghosts of deceased Hawaiian warriors, so-called "night marchers".

Upon further investigation, she then found out that people who look the marchers in the eye suffer a cruel and violent death. "Fortunately, we did not see the alleged night marcher," explains Borleis.
