In the video: Rabbi Pinto's remarks/PR
During this time, we all want to change for the better and be better people. But what do we start with? We have so much to fix.
In a lesson given by Rebbe Rabbi Josiah Pinto in Miami, he referred to his grandfather Baba Sali's day of revelry, which took place earlier this week, and said that his main strength was keeping one's eyes.
Thus, Rabbi Pinto explained, a person mainly needs to correct everything related to the eye. To look at the world, to look at people, to avoid seeing transgression, and to be strengthened by a positive outlook.
According to Rabbi Pinto, the eye is the body's main engine. The eye controls thought and action, and is the main opening of man. And so our main work should focus on the eye.
