He has just turned 90 years old, but Filippo Buconi, instead of gifts for the milestone achieved, asked for a gift for the National Assistance to Military Orphans Carabinieri, an organization alongside all the children of soldiers who have lost their parents. It happened in Todi.
Buconi was in service in the Carabinieri for 11 years, and then embarked on a new path in life - the military explain in a note -, with important roles, within an important international company. On Monday he was invited by the carabinieri of the Todi company, where, welcomed by the commander, Captain Giovanni De Liso, he received some gifts sent to him by the boys of the institution and a letter of thanks signed by their president, General Ugo Zottin.
The Carabinieri explains that the meeting was an opportunity "to sincerely thank Mr. Filippo who, evidently, in the wake of the traditions that bind the Benemerita to its members, having also held the role of president of the local National Carabinieri Association, wanted to reserve his tangible attention to the institution and its children who face, in their delicate condition, an important moment of growth and study in life".
Onaomac is a non-profit organization founded in 1948, immediately after the end of the Second World War, with the aim of assisting orphans of Carabinieri soldiers in their school education, up to the entry into the world of work or the achievement of a degree. The financial resources for this purpose derive from voluntary monthly contributions made by the Carabinieri in service, donations from private citizens and rents of properties received as donations and inheritances from the Carabinieri.
