Barak Ayalon and his mother Mira, who were killed yesterday by an anti-tank missile in Kfar Yuval, were laid to rest yesterday (Monday) in the cemetery in Kfar Yuval. Eliyahu Barak, the father of the family, survived yesterday's shooting but is listed as suffering from shock. Yariv Amiad, a relative of Barak and Mira Ayalon, elaborated in a post on social networks about the sad reality in which his family members had to be buried. "Israel 2024, after 100 days of fighting in the north, is this how my aunt Mira and my cousin Barak Ayalon should be buried?" he wrote.
"After a dignified and sad ceremony at the council on the outskirts of Hermon. Only 10 family members are allowed to travel to the cemetery in Kfar Yovel, they put bulletproof vests on my mother and father, travel in a convoy from Kiryat Shmona to Kfar Yovel, in the heart of our Galilee, where Mira and my mother raised their families." Yariv describes the incomprehensible situation they are currently in in the northern arena vis-à-vis the Hezbollah terrorist organization. "My mother says - you can't believe it, they erected huge concrete walls at the turn to Kfar Yuval, after 100 days of fighting," he wrote. "Do we build concrete walls? And with them??"

Yariv also went on to elaborate on the burial process in Kfar Yuval, which had to be completed quickly due to the security situation. "We arrive at the cemetery in Kfar Yuval, everything has to be conducted in complete darkness while soldiers stand with binoculars and look towards Lebanon. Ten minutes and need to evacuate. "Mira said she stayed in Kfar Yuval because it was a necessity, because there was no choice.
