He was already known to the law. A 35-year-old motorist ran over and ran over a cyclist near the construction site of the Simon Veil bridge, in the presence of witnesses, in Floirac (Gironde), on Thursday. After getting out of his car to check that he had hit the victim, who was indeed under the vehicle, the individual then sat down behind the wheel.
Then, despite the victim's feet sticking out from under his car, he drove off again to free his vehicle from the bike that had clung to it, dragging the injured cyclist for several metres... Before fleeing, the national police of Bordeaux told Le Figaro, confirming a report by Sud Ouest. According to our colleagues, the young woman, "seriously injured", was rushed to the hospital, where she remained on Monday.
