Scala Energy and EV-EDGE have signed agreements with Melisron, which owns commercial space throughout Israel. According to the companies, the move is part of Melisron's desire to promote and encourage the use of green energy in its properties and to expand the range of services provided in malls for customers.
Melisron owns approximately 907,000 square meters of managed commercial and office space and 26,000 parking spaces, spread throughout Israel. The company's malls are visited by about 70 million people every year. Installation of charging stations, both fast and ultra-fast, will begin during the first quarter of 2024.
Construction of the stations by EV-EDGE (of the Union Group) and Scala Energy (of the Allied Group) will begin in the large malls, including Ofer HaKirion, Ofer Rehovot and Ofer Ramat Aviv, and gradually in the other properties, until the full deployment of a network of charging stations that will be one of the largest in Israel and will number, according to the company's estimates, about 300 charging stations.
