Thirty years of imprisonment were requested on Tuesday, January 16 against Samire Lymani, suspected of the murder of Aurélie Vaquier and currently on trial before the Hérault Assizes. The 41-year-old accused, divorced and father of two, is accused of killing his girlfriend and hiding her body under a concrete slab at their home in Bédarieux, a small town in the Hérault, in early 2021.
«
This crime is horrific. I ask you to find Samire Lymani guilty of the murder of his partner Aurélie Vaquier and to sentence him to 30 years in prison," said Prosecutor Damien Kincher at the end of his closing arguments.
Someone "buried his sweetheart at home" while he was visiting his children in the Lyon region, the accused has been saying since the beginning of the investigation. "Of course I had nothing to do with it. They killed her and buried her in our house, we've been going around in circles for three years!" said Samire Lymani during her interrogation before the Assize Court on Monday (January 15th). The verdict is expected on Tuesday evening.
