Trenitalia's ex managing directorVincenzo Soprano on Tuesday turned himself in at Rome's Rebibbiaprison after the supreme Court of Cassation on Monday nightupheld his conviction to four years and two months in jail overthe Viareggio train disaster that killed 32 people in 2009.
His lawyer said it was "not fair that someone should go to jailafter 15 years for a culpable offence".
The Cassation ordered a third appeal trial for Mauro Moretti,former managing director of Ferrovie dello Stato and the RFInetwork company, who was sentenced to ive years in the secondappeal trial.
The high court ordered that Moretti's sentence be recalculatedand his lawyer said he should avoid jail time.
