Some678 million euro have beenallocated to the northern region of Emilia Romagna under theDevelopment and Cohesion Agreement signed by the government andthe regional authorities in Forlì on Wednesday, Premier GiorgiaMeloni said on Thursday.
   These are "important resources that are concentrated onstrategic objectives such as development, growth, infrastructureand the future", Meloni wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
   "Emilia Romagna is the seventh region to sign the CohesionAgreement with the Government, but we will be coming to allItalian regions," she added.
   The funding has been made available under the European Union'scohesion policy promoting social and economic development atterritorial level across member states. On Wednesday Meloni visited Emilia Romagna together withEuropean Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen to take stockof progress in recovery and reconstruction after the flood andlandslide emergency last May.
   The EU has made available an additional 1.2 billion euro inresources specifically for post-flood reconstruction andprevention under a new measure contained in Italy's revisedpost-Covid national recovery and resilience plan (NRRP).
