Heating, dry air, little light – winter is associated with a lot of stress for most houseplants.
But these tips will get the plants through the season.
Houseplants don't have it easy in winter.
The warm room temperature promotes growth, while the lack of sunlight prevents this at the same time.
Added to this is the dry heating air;
cold drafts from tilted windows or open doors will do the rest. But these tips will protect the houseplant from the worst.

Tropical houseplants in particular are exposed to a lot of stress in winter and tend to have falling or yellow leaves.
Here are some tips to follow in winter:
Shower the leaves: To allow sunlight to penetrate the leaves, it is important to remove any dust.
You can either do this by hand or with a cloth, or you can rinse the leaves about every four to six weeks, as
My Beautiful Garden
recommends.
Make sure that the soil does not get wet.
Another plus point: Any pests such as spider mites are also removed.
Rethink the location: Is your lucky feather directly above the heater?
No wonder it drops its leaves.
In winter, it is best to place houseplants in cooler rooms such as the bedroom or reduce the heating to around 19 to 20 degrees Celsius.

Increase humidity: Dry air increases the risk of pest infestations and diseases.
Therefore, mist houseplants with water several times a week.
Coasters filled with clay granules and water can also promote humidity, as
My Beautiful Garden
knows.

Detect pests: Check the houseplant regularly for pests.
If there are sticky leaf deposits or pale leaves, you should take action and quarantine the houseplant so that scale insects or spider mites do not spread.
