White slopes invite you to ski on the Kolben, but there was some damage to the runway.
It's standing still for now.

Finally there is snow and then this: the Kolbensattelbahn is no longer allowed to run.
Damage was discovered.
Oberammergau – It’s like magic.
First there was no snow for a long time.
The longed-for skiing fun on the Kolben was not possible, only a few turns could be made on the white patches on the roll lifts.
Finally, the engines of all systems were running - to the delight of winter sports enthusiasts and those responsible at AktivArena am Kolben GmbH.
But now they have to swallow another bitter pill.
Due to damage, operations on the Kolben chairlift had to be stopped on Thursday.
When getting out, an employee noticed “strange, abnormal noises” coming from the deflection plate at the mountain station.
The last guests on the train were transported to their destination and then it was over.
“It is probably due to bearing damage on the deflection pulley, which hit us unexpectedly,” explains Klement Fend, the managing director.
“The piston chairlift is not allowed to operate in this condition.”
Damage should be repaired as quickly as possible
Those responsible immediately contacted the responsible company, Doppelmayr, in order to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
The pulley was last replaced in November 2015, and all necessary maintenance has been carried out to date, Fend assures.
However, not the entire operation comes to a standstill.
The drag lift 1, the children's lifts and the Kolbensattelhütte remain open.
The roll lifts are completely available.
“We hope that we can repair the damage over the next week,” emphasizes Fend.
Then the Kolben chairlift would run again on the weekend of 27/28.
