Wallgau is becoming the focus of the hairdressing industry.
A new citizen makes it possible.
Wallgau
– Being beautiful is not just a question of looks and aesthetics.
“Being beautiful is also a feeling,” says Annemarie Graf.
The 35-year-old says it and you want to believe her straight away.
No wonder, persuasion is part of the profession of the trained PR consultant, who has lived in Wallgau with her husband and small daughter for a year.
She calls there on the weekend, the 27th/28th.
January, 20 hairdressing entrepreneurs from all over Germany came together to exchange ideas via their “Schönsein Club”.
“Our fresh mountain air will help clear your head to define new goals.”
That is exactly Annemarie Graf’s mission.
Born in Thuringia, she learned how to use a comb, hairdryer and scissors at home in her parents' salon near Erfurt.
She also has her master’s certificate in her pocket.
But that alone wasn't enough for the determined woman in the long run.
She wanted to pass on experiences and knowledge.
“I was looking for an honest and respectful exchange.” And so the woman from Neu-Wallgau entered the online business.
Graf gives valuable tips about her brand “Schönsein” via blog, talk or the hairdressing podcast.
“You can actually make a living from this,” says the founder of “Schönsein Blog” and laughs.
My family and friends thought I was crazy, but I didn't care.

She also wants to have fun in just over a week, when her “Beauty Club” not only has virtual but also physical encounters with professional colleagues.
This meeting took place for the first time in Wallgau a year ago.
At that time there were ten hairdressing entrepreneurs.
They were so enthusiastic about the Isar Valley village that the exchange of ideas should always take place there in the future.
Which is entirely in the spirit of the source of ideas and inspiration.
“It was my greatest wish to live in the mountains,” assures Graf.
“My family and friends thought I was crazy, but I didn’t care.” Online advice in the hairstyling industry is also available at any time in the Upper Bavarian province with a fantastic Alpine panorama.
So in one week, 20 businesswomen between the ages of 30 and 55 will be renting a room in the Parkhotel - one comes from Hamburg, the other from Stuttgart or Berlin.
“A colorful bag,” is how the hostess puts it.
“A blind date with a great sense of friendship.”
Of course, the “Schönsein Club” will also enjoy the benefits of a four-star resort to the fullest.
But wellness and well-being are by no means all that is on the agenda.
Because Annemarie Graf emphasizes one thing: hairdressers are “anything but stupid hairdressers”.
Nevertheless, this profession has always had a certain image attached to it.
Not to mention the rampant staff shortage.
This makes it all the more important for the thought leader from Wallgau to think in new categories.
“Get out of the box” is the watchword.
For example, when using social media like Instagram.
Annemarie Graf is also convinced that the days of complete offerings in salons are a thing of the past.
“The future of hairdressers lies in specialization.”
The 20 participants will be given all this and much more by trainer and mentor Jennifer Wulf and executive coach Christina Fröhlich, among others.
Your stay in Wallgau is sweetened with a Sunday scavenger hunt through the town, a torchlight hike to the Golfalm and a praline course at Café-Martl.
Because being beautiful is also a question of the senses.
