CDU politician Manuel Ostermann receives hate messages every day - which he now shares on the X platform.
His political positions anger many.
Essen – Hate messages and threats to politicians are not uncommon – social media makes this even easier.
Manuel Ostermann (CDU), head of the federal police union, shares the graphically described threats on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
However, his idea of security policy also received constructive criticism.
Hate messages: Ostermann receives threats every day
"You son of a bitch, if I see you, I'll stab you in the neck with a knife.
I would drink your blood, you dog,” an Instagram user wrote to the police officer.
He shared a screenshot of it with the words: “I’m making it public now.
That's how it works every day!
The fight against extremism and terrorists continues.”
The union leader also published another hate message: “You dirty Nazi face deserve to be beaten day and night,” writes an Instagram user on one of the politician’s stories.
Ostermann responds to another message with irony: “Fan mail from a true Democrat,” he wrote on
In the screenshots of the messages, the senders' profiles are clearly visible, including both the account name and the profile picture.

“Every day”: Structural Islamism is acting aggressively
The CDU police officer would receive such messages every day.
“I find it significant that when you push the constitutional fight against Islamists and want to take custody away from ISLAMISTS for the benefit of the children, you get the most disgusting news,” Ostermann writes in a post.
“Insults and threats leave me cold, but it clearly shows how aggressively, decisively and structurally widespread Islamists act.
The fight goes on.
That much is certain.”

The hate messages and threats are a result of his obvious opinion on security policy.
In addition to support in the comments, some users also warn about the choice of words - others add that Ostermann is setting his priorities wrong: "I personally would like to see the constitutional fight against right-wing extremists like Höcke and Co. pushed forward.
I see it as a bigger problem at the moment.

Police problem: Ostermann sees no structural problem - colleague disagrees
Previously, Ostermann made his position known on the possible police problem.
There is no structural problem and racist chats between officials are isolated cases.
His police colleague from the Greens sees it differently, he told Die

: “From my point of view, we definitely have a structural problem.
Our society is becoming more diverse; more than one in four people has a migration background.
The police are often not sensitive enough.”
