A tenant is also being sought for the Bürgerstubn restaurant in Weichs

Weichs - There have been many regulations in the past for the use of the large community hall in the sports and community center in Weichs, said Mayor Harald Mundl (WBV) at the last local council meeting.

It was about the agenda item “Future private law usage regulations for the Citizens’ Hall”.

In some cases the hall was or was not leased to the tenants of the Bürgerstubn.

Since there were regular requests from citizens to use the hall for private events such as birthday parties, the municipality has decided to make this possible from February 1, 2024.

In order to have as much influence as possible on occupancy and flexibility in pricing when used by local clubs or by a new tenant of the restaurant, there should be fixed rules in the future.

The administration has consulted the relevant regulations from other municipalities in the district and presented the drafts for the private law regulations for the citizens' hall to the local council in a non-public meeting.

Among other things, user regulations, guidelines for decoration as well as fees and house rules were developed.

In the following public discussion in the council, the suggestion by Heinz Nefzger junior (WBV) that, when being entertained by a catering service, the hall tenants should be encouraged to buy the drinks from the Bürgerstubn landlord so that he could earn a little extra money was met with little approval – “if we ever have one again”.

Mayor Harald Mundl and Martin Betz (CSU) in particular categorically rejected this.

They don't want to interfere with private tenants' plans.

The municipality requires a deposit for final cleaning

The final cleaning of the hall was also discussed, which, depending on the size and type of event, should primarily be carried out by a cleaning company commissioned by the municipality.

The municipality wants to charge 500 euros as a deposit per event.

The local council finally unanimously decided on the usage regulations for the community hall.

The hall bookings can be made via the administration in the town hall.

The fee for using the Citizens' Hall consists of the room rent and the additional services booked by the tenant.

At the end of this agenda item, Mayor Harald Mundl announced that, in contrast to previous plans, they were currently looking for a tenant for the Bürgerstubn.

This is the result of a non-public meeting between the local council and representatives of clubs, regular meetings and other organizations that meet regularly in the sports and community center.
