Ambulances and special police forces gather in front of a high-rise building in Mannheim.
The trigger is still unclear.
Mannheim - The police are currently on a large-scale operation in a Mannheim high-rise building due to a threatening situation.
A police spokesman initially did not want to provide any further information.
When asked, the spokesman said that what happened in the Neckarstadt was not a case of hostage-taking.
Photos on site showed not only police special forces but also several ambulances.
