The outing was Queen Camilla's first public engagement since the palace announced the double news of King Charles on the one hand and Princess Kate's (42) operation on the other.

Speaking to His Majesty: “Like thousands of other men, the King has had his annual check-up,” the statement said.

“It is a benign change,” the palace continued and announced the corrective surgery in the hospital.

It can be assumed that the 75-year-old king will openly share his diagnosis in order to motivate other men to get a check-up.

This could not be the case with Charles' daughter-in-law Princess Kate, she has to stay in the hospital for at least ten days and will not be able to appear in public again until Easter at the earliest.

However, heir to the throne Prince William (41) is at her side as a strong shoulder.
