This type of speeding doesn't happen every day in Munich: a novice driver raced through the city in his Mercedes at 160 km/h.
Munich - The officials must have been amazed.
While on patrol on Thursday, January 18th, around 1:15 a.m., police officers noticed a car traveling at significantly excessive speeds.
They then started chasing the Mercedes at Georg-Brauchle-Ring near Lerchenauer Straße - the average speed recorded by the measuring system was 125 km/h.
The police were able to arrest a speeder at the Petueltunnel.

Speeding madness in Munich: novice driver races through the city at 160 km/h
According to the police, the car was then stopped in the area of the Petuel Tunnel.
The driver was a 20-year-old living in the Munich district.
He was cited for the speeding violation.
In addition, he must expect a fine of 1,600 euros, two points in the central traffic register and a driving ban of three months.
Since the 20-year-old is also a novice driver, he will be subject to follow-up measures from the driving license authority.
