“Hartz and warm”: Selina attends a special school.
She is trying to get an apprenticeship.
But for the student, her job search ends in bitter disappointment.
In the Mannheim “Hartz and warm” episodes, viewers get to know the family of 17-year-old Selina.
She lives with her mother Petra and her brother Pascal.
The RTLZWEI program revolves around the protagonists' problems, money worries and office stress.
However, Selina has completely different worries.
The special needs student wanted a training position in a pet supply store - but as MANNHEIM24 knows, this dream was dashed.

Selina from “Hartz und cordial” wants a normal job
Petra and her children can be seen regularly in the social documentary “Hartz and warmly”.
Petra, a mother of two and from Mannheim, often doesn't have it easy.
For example, a mold infestation in the apartment caused problems for her, which even became life-threatening for Petra, who had a lung condition.
The welfare recipient doesn't have much to live on, but she tries to make everything possible for her children.
Baby Selina in particular needs special care from mom Petra.
The 17-year-old is mentally impaired and attends a special school.
But she has big plans for the future and won't let setbacks stop her.
Together with Petra, the student tried to find an internship outside of a workshop for the disabled.
Selina and Petra do their best to enable the 17-year-old to receive an education.

Petra explains on “Hartz und Herzen” that she wants a better life for her children.
She herself is unemployed.
The joy of Selina's internship placement was even greater.
The 17-year-old was able to get an internship at a pet store despite her disability.
She really enjoyed this and her colleagues also raved about her: “She also learns very quickly and is focused at work.”
Selina helped with sales, putting away the goods and anything else that needed to be done.
She made such a good impression on the pet shop employees that they even offered her an apprenticeship.
The assessment of her internship was also excellent.
But when speaking to the school, Selina experiences a bitter setback - training is impossible for her!

In the new episode “Hartz and cordial – Benz Barracks Day after Day” Selina’s world collapses.
The student was at a school discussion with her mother Petra.
What the teacher told the Mannheim native caused her dream of an apprenticeship to collapse.
In order to apply for an apprenticeship in a pet shop, the 17-year-old needs school grades.
Since Selina has an intellectual disability and attends a special school, her teachers do not give her any grades.
It will be assessed in writing.
It is therefore impossible for the 17-year-old to apply for training.
Disabled students “are not supported by the employment office to get an apprenticeship,” Petra repeats the teacher’s statements.
Too much for Selina at once, the student runs out of the room crying.
The whole family had to go through a lot during their time on “Hartz and warmly” - but they won't be seen on TV for a long time.

For special needs student Selina, a world collapses in the new “Hartz und cordial” episode.
She is supposed to work in a workshop for the disabled and she really wants to do training in the pet business.
That would be a dream for the animal-loving woman from Mannheim.
But now the pet shop employees are also admitting concerns!
The 17-year-old did the internship well, but in training she would have to handle more difficult tasks.
Petra and Selina don't want to be satisfied with working in a workshop for the disabled.
Mama Petra criticizes the fact that her daughter doesn't even get the minimum wage there.
But Selina asks herself a completely different question: “Why don’t we disabled people get a chance?” But she doesn’t let the bad news get her down: “Then I’ll just keep looking and just set my next goal and keep fighting!” (str)
