The

Argentine Political Club

(CPA) published a strong statement about the current political moment, with the debate on the omnibus law and the mega DNU as a central point.

The entity drew attention to "intolerance", maintained that there is "one more opportunity" to get out of the crisis and

demanded from Congress an "intelligent and deep dialogue

. "

"The Constitution is our coexistence pact. If [dialogue] is not guided by respect for others and by the joint construction of the future, it will lose its soul, its reason for being," the CPA indicated.

"Respect for the Constitution is not resolved only in the courts. Argentine society has the need and urgency for the government and Parliament

to abandon all imposition or mutual mistreatment

, and initiate an intelligent and profound dialogue, of joint construction. La Patria demands it," evaluated the entity, which brings together politicians, journalists, professors, academics, current and former public officials, professionals and businessmen.

The diagnosis and the request of the Argentine Political Club coincide with the agitated social and parliamentary debate over the omnibus law, for which the President signed a decree on Friday extending the extraordinary sessions in Congress.

In this framework of "accelerated dynamics of events", Javier Milei's government faces a "deep crisis."

That is why they demanded to leave aside the conception of the search for agreements as "political weakness or shameful compromise."

A "new pact," they argued, is necessary for a "new political culture."

"If everyone were to buckle back into their intransigent position, the crisis would worsen," the organization pointed out, in explicit reference to the parliamentary debate and the different sectors with the Government over the mega DNU and the omnibus law.

Then the entity - chaired by Ricardo Mazzorín and with Graciela Fernández Meijide and Vicente Palermo among its authorities - addressed the separation of powers: "Have the DNU been used in the past as an imposition of majorities? Surely. The result is in sight "crisis of political representation, hopeless society and general impoverishment".

And they emphasized one of the most discussed points about the initiatives that Milei sent to Parliament: "The request to Congress to delegate legislative powers to the Executive Branch

must be an exceptional, clearly founded and temporary measure."

They concluded with a request for respect for the law and the Constitution.

"Adherence to the letter, and much more to the spirit of the law, will be the

guarantee that the changes that the time demands are lasting over time

, that they have the necessary endorsement of the Argentine majorities," they expressed in the Political Club Argentinian.
