She will have spent less than 24 hours in the premises of the SIPJ (Interdepartmental Judicial Police Service) of Seine-et-Marne, in Meaux.
The 21-year-old young woman, who left the Meaux maternity ward with her one-month-old baby under her arm on Thursday evening, has just emerged with a summons to appear before the Meaux criminal court, for “subtraction of a minor by ascendant” .
She will be judged in a few months.
In the meantime, she was released.
The mother was in fact prohibited from leaving the hospital with little Neilylah, the Meaux public prosecutor's office having issued a temporary placement order.
The young woman - who according to the maternity care staff represented a danger for her daughter - was informed on Wednesday.
The child is fine
Why such short custody?
“It is not because there was a kidnapping alert that the case is complex.
In reality, it's very simple.
The mother admitted to having taken her child, whom she wanted to keep with her.
And she turned off her phone so as not to be geolocated,” indicates Jean-Baptiste Bladier, the Meaux prosecutor.
The Ministry of Justice activated the system on Friday afternoon because the mother could not be found, despite police searches carried out in Seine-et-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis and Paris.
She was found thanks to a passer-by who, Friday evening in a street in Sevran (Seine-Saint-Denis), alerted a police patrol present in the area.
As for the infant, who was well treated by his mother, he was hospitalized, while waiting to be placed in a child welfare structure.
