The private Ax-3 mission is arriving at the International Space Station.
The docking of the Crew Dragon Freedom shuttle is currently scheduled for 11.44 am Italian time and the opening of the hatch at 1.20 pm.
The crew of the Ax-2 mission includes the Italian Walter Villadei, colonel of the Air Force, the Swede Marcus Wandt, of the European Space Agency, the first Turk Alper Gezeravci and the veteran Michael Lopez-Alegria of Axiom Space, at mission command.
The opening of the hatch is expected at 1.20 pm, after all the checks on board the shuttle have been completed and to balance the pressurization between the Crew Dragon and the ISS.
The crew of the Expedition 70 mission, under the command of Andreas Mogensen of ESA, welcomed the astronauts of the Ax-3 mission.
There will thus be 11 astronauts on the Space Station, representing 7 nationalities: Denmark with Mogensen, the United States with Jasmin Moghbeli, Loral O'Hara and Michael Lopez-Alegria, Russia with Konstantin Borisov, Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub, Japan with Satoshi Furukawa, Italy with Villadei, Sweden with Wandt and Turkey with Gezeravci.
