The onset of winter in January seems to be history again.
Mild temperatures rule the country.
But can we expect snow again in February?
Munich – Germany is facing bad weather – or as the Bavarians would say, “a bad weather”.
The country reacts to rain and wind.
Was that it with snow and winter?
Due to the rising temperatures, the snow will thaw over the course of the week, that much is certain.
And the weather forecast for February doesn't bode well for all fans of white flakes.
But there is hope: “A cold winter phase cannot be ruled out,” says weather expert Dominik Jung.

Sounds banal, as February is a classic winter month.
But the trend has already become apparent in recent years.
Mild temperatures, a drier climate on the second Monday of the year - you'll have to get used to that.
The onset of winter is over: “A lot of storms, a lot of rain, a lot of mild air”
The onset of winter in January is over again.
“That’s over.
The big weather change will come to us on Monday,” reports Jung.
“A lot of storms, a lot of rain, a lot of mild air.”
This means enjoying the sun while it's still here.
In the next few days it will probably have a hard time asserting itself against the gray masses in the sky.
Lots of clouds and occasional rain are already forecast for Sunday (January 21st) in northern Germany.
The temperatures are between three and nine degrees, as the
German Weather Service (DWD)
predicts.
Strong winds up to hurricane-force gusts – the German Weather Service warns of black ice on Monday
Heavy rain is expected on Monday (January 22nd).
In southeastern Germany, slippery roads due to freezing rain cannot be ruled out.
However, black ice chaos is not expected in the last few days.
But the wetness doesn't come alone - a strong wind creates uncomfortable conditions, especially on the North Sea.

Wind and rain, instead of snow and sun.
Cooling trend in February – is winter coming again?
And how does it continue?
After all, a cooling trend is predicted for February.
However, the temperatures are still in the mild range and above zero degrees.
An onset of winter is not in sight for now.
Even for weatherman Jung, an “onset of winter is unlikely”.
However, more precipitation is expected in February than in previous years.
And all over Germany.
In what form, whether as rain or snow, cannot yet be predicted.
“A cold winter phase cannot be ruled out,” says Jung.
At least there is still hope for a guest that characterized winter and the month of February: snow.
