Taufkirchen
- A fire broke out in a farmhouse in a district of Taufkirchen shortly after midnight on Sunday.
One resident was slightly injured and the total damage is likely to be in the six-figure range, the Upper Bavaria North police headquarters announced on Sunday.
According to the press report, the Erding integrated control center was informed about the room fire at around 12:45 a.m.
When the emergency services arrived, the fire had already spread to other parts of the building.
However, the fire department - according to the police, around 80 people from the Taufkirchen, Moosen and Velden fire departments were on duty - was able to quickly bring the flames under control.
The three residents of the property left the building independently, and a 73-year-old was taken to hospital on suspicion of smoke poisoning.
The other two stayed with a neighbor.
According to initial estimates, the total damage is likely to be in the lower six-figure range.
No statements can yet be made regarding the cause of the fire.
The specialist commissioner of the Erding Criminal Police Inspectorate has taken over the investigation.
Only on the night of last Friday, January 19th, there was also a fire in the Klettham district of Erding.
An apartment there had also burned.
