UP School, Alberto Melis's international school in Cagliari directed by EnricaCorbia, receives the 2024 ItaliaDecide award dedicated to the innovation of the educational project.
On 23 January 2024 she will be awarded in Rome, at Palazzo Montecitorio in the hall of parliamentary groups, in the presence of the President of the Republic.
Three projects receive the recognition at a national level: the prize for southern Italy goes to Cagliari.
For Italy, Decide Up is an example of innovative learning methods for the basic school system.
"This recognition fills us with pride and is certainly the fruit of our long experience in the field of education and training and rewards our attention to the centrality of the student, the care of the spaces, our active teaching, the quality of the staff, our contemporaneity. An important moment for the school which makes us look increasingly towards the future, aware of having started a complex path full of stimuli and satisfactions", comments the director EnricaCorbia.
Up is a contemporary international school, based in Viale Trento 50 in Cagliari.
It is based on the interdisciplinary dialogue between pedagogy, psychology, epistemology, architecture and technology, promoting the creation of learning contexts designed to offer those who attend it the opportunity to express themselves, enrich themselves and develop.
The use of new technologies as useful and integrated tools within daily activities is strengthened in the educational programs, in child-friendly spaces and with attention to well-being and respect for the environment, in a context of Italian/English bilingualism.
A story that begins over thirty years ago.
Starting from 2015, Corbia, together with his son Alberto Melis, constitutes a structured interdisciplinary team of highly qualified figures with skills in the field of pedagogy, didactics, architecture, technology and neuroscience, coordinated by Silvano Tagliagambe.
