With a two-year postponement due to the pandemic, the Choralschola of the Erding Parish Cecilia Association celebrated its 60th anniversary.
Erding
- The Choralschola of the Erding Parish Cecilian Association was founded in 1961 by Robert M. Helmschrott and has since been dedicated to the cultivation of Gregorian chant and German liturgical singing.
Today the musical direction is Georg Rothenaicher.
Deacon Stefan Geißler, himself once a singer in the group, praised the musical performances of the scholars in his speech at the celebratory service.
The songs always gave the services a special spiritual depth, according to a press release from the association.
The “Missa Adventus” was performed, and the former scholars also took part in parts of the mass design.
