The police, MGB and Shin Bet thwarted an attack in Jerusalem, planned by two terrorists supporting ISIS - this was allowed to be published today (Monday).

The terrorists swore allegiance to the terrorist organization, purchased chemical materials to prepare the charges and planned to harm civilians and the security forces stationed in the capital.

Later today, the prosecutor's office is expected to file an indictment against them.

The investigation began last month, following a suspicion that two young men, 19 and 20 years old from Ras al-Amud, were preparing explosives in their homes as part of belonging to the Islamic State organization.

Police officers who arrived at the houses found various chemical substances, ISIS and Hamas flags, a notebook detailing how to prepare explosives and other findings.

The suspects were interrogated, and their detention was extended in court.

Among other things, the investigation revealed that the two swore allegiance to the terrorist organization and consumed its contents on the Internet, but did not have time to obtain all the materials needed to produce explosives.

Last month, the police released a recording of the moment of the arrest of Ma'atsam Halaila and Mohammad Ja'afra, two ISIS supporters who planned to carry out an attack and were captured a month earlier.

The two, residents of the Jebel Mokbar neighborhood in East Jerusalem, aged 23 and 21, were accused of planning terrorist attacks under the auspices of the murderous organization.

In their investigation it emerged that they planned to carry out an attack using an explosive drone that would target police officers.
