This is what the mayor Clemente Mastella decided and signed an ordinance: anyone who does not respect the rules risks a fine of up to 500 euros.
The document is motivated by the need, proven by various international scientific studies, to prevent the dispersion of balloon material or other similar objects from causing environmental damage and to protect animal health.
And so on the occasion of public events, parties, anniversaries or demonstrations, including sporting events or the upcoming Carnival, be careful when using festoons and balloons: in Benevento you risk a fine.
