Comedian Oliver Pocher actually wants to make the visitors to his show “Liebeskasper” laugh – then suddenly he tears up in Hanover.

What role does his father play?

Hanover – Comedian Oliver Pocher (45) is currently touring across Germany with his new stage program “Liebeskasper”.

At the show on January 20, 2024 in the “Swiss Life Hall” in Hanover, the 45-year-old suddenly began to cry - completely untypical for the comedian, who usually always has a cheeky saying on his lips.

The reason is father Gerhard (74).

After the live call at Show: Oliver Pocher is fighting back tears

Oliver Pocher's father Gerhard was actually supposed to sit in the audience and watch his son's show.

Unfortunately, he wasn't able to do that for health reasons - and that seems to be giving the moderator a lot of trouble.

As early as August 2023, Pocher talked about his father's stroke on Instagram.

Now he will speak out about the topic again on stage on Saturday.

“I would have been really happy if my father could have been there today,” Oliver Pocher tells his audience.

And because Gerhard can't be there in person, Olli decides to let him take part in the show somehow - he calls him via video call live from the stage.

With tears in his eyes, the 45-year-old encourages his sick father: “It's been a difficult year, but we hope that you'll get fit again and you'll be able to see me the next time I come to Hanover.

Promised?

Take care.

I love you."

Oliver Pocher is currently going through a difficult time: after the separation from Amira (31) and the resulting War of the Roses, feelings quickly boil over - and not just for the moderator.

His ex-partner is also going through a lot of lows at the moment: most recently on New Year's Eve, when Amira Pocher fled crying into Oliver's arms.
