The Peitingen holiday experts from “Glück Auf-Reisen” and “Tscharlies Reisen” agree: It’s worth it to be quick.
Because the discounts are slowly becoming scarce.

What you imagine to be so perfect in your imagination remains just a wish today.
“Last minute in the classic sense no longer exists.
It should be called 'Last Month',” jokes Karl Schramm from “Tscharlies Reisen” in Peiting.

The organizers want to fill their flights three to four months before departure.
What is much more worthwhile are early bird discounts.
Especially in times when everything is becoming more expensive.
“We've been booking for the coming season since last summer, there's not much left,” says Schramm.
The sticking points are still the holidays
Schramm says he asks around a million questions until he finds the right thing for his customers.
“People often want to go somewhere and end up somewhere else.” Because Schramm is not just about selling.
“If a family of four wants to go to a remote hotel for two weeks in the peak season just because it’s reasonably affordable, then I’ll try to change their mind.” Either people would have to save a little more, or it would be better to turn to alternatives.

The sticking point is of course the holiday periods: if you are tied to them, you should book wisely.
On the weekends, the flight surcharges are impossibly high.
“It’s worth going away for just seven to ten days, but at a reasonable price,” advises Schramm.

And anyone who can go away outside of school holidays should definitely do so.
The trend for families is definitely towards all-inclusive package holidays.
Tours with various modules put together by the office continue to be in greater demand among couples.
“Families need security, so individuality is less important.”

Cruises are on the rise - also for families

Overall, Schramm states that Germans still have the necessary change to be able to fulfill their longing for distant countries.
“The tourism sector is still doing well,” he says.
