Erdan said these things against the background of the reports of the Iranian news agency "Tasnim" about two weeks ago about the final approval of a deal for the sale of Russian-made fighter planes and helicopters to the Iranian Air Force.

According to the report, the Iranian Deputy Minister of Defense, Seyed Mehdi Farhi, confirmed to the news agency that Tehran approved the largest purchase in the history of the Iranian Air Force in the last two decades.
According to the minister, the deal was also approved in Moscow and it is expected to go into operation soon.
