Highlights: Lindsay Lohan returned to the red carpet for the new musical 'Mean Girls' Lohan, now 37 and a new mother, turned heads in a bold, albeit flattering, black dress by Alexander Vathia. The long-sleeved style featured a crystal belt and a strategically placed cut-out that showed off a rather toned stomach. But while some fans on social media were quick to shower her with compliments, others couldn't help but wonder about a potentially unnatural recent transformation procedure.

Excessive plastics or a legitimate Hollywood makeover? Lindsay Lohan's return to the red carpet sparks heated discussion. Opinions are divided here and there. We decided

Two decades after capturing our hearts as Cady Heron in the iconic teen comedy Mean Girls (2004), Lindsay Lohan has returned to the silver screen (well, Broadway) with a bang.

But instead of dealing with the 'plastics', she shines on the red carpet for the new musical 'Mean Girls', with Renee Rapp in the role of Regina George.

And let's face it, her look in the day dress.

In a good or bad way?

In our opinion, precisely the first one.

'So Much Work Done' was a recurring phrase.

I mean, Lindsay has done so much work and you're starting to see cracks now.

Something like that.

The bottom line?

Rather, the last question was whether, what she did not do, she succeeded or not?

There were those who agreed that it definitely was, and there were those who regretted that the star they knew and loved simply disappeared.

"I had no idea who she was if you hadn't told me," one wrote, echoing the sentiments of many who felt Lohan's look was a far cry from her Me and My Luck (2006) days.

However, many fans clearly chose the side of the defense.

Comments like Never looked better ('never looked better') were also repeated.

And admittedly, Lohan's undeniable natural charisma and bright red hair definitely stole the show, distracting from chatter about excessive cosmetic surgery.

In the test of the result, Lidsey, at least in our opinion, was very successful.

One more thing is undeniable: Lindsay Lohan is back, and she's not here to play by anyone else's rules.

Her bold choice of clothing and unapologetic embrace of her new life as a mother sent a clear message: she's comfortable in her own skin, and that's what really matters.

And as for the argument about her looks, well, that's exactly what Janice Ian would call 'Wednesdays we wear pink'.

So what do

you

think?

Did Lindsay Lohan's new look work for her or not?

The discussion continues.

But remember, in the words of math teacher Ms. Norbury, 'Don't let the fear of falling stop you from dancing.'

Lindsay Lohan is dancing to her tune, and we can't wait to see what she does next.
