On the eve of International Education Day, the Prada group and UNESCO announced the launch of the third edition of Sea Beyond, the educational program dedicated to the ocean and its protection.

Over 34,000 students from 56 countries around the world will participate in the programme, with the new edition also featuring the new partnership with Bibliothèques sans frontières.

This was announced in a Prada press release, specifying that the program includes training sessions on the topic of ocean education (ocean literacy) for students and teachers through a cycle of lessons conducted by IOC/UNESCO experts.

It will take place from January to June 2024 and will end, as in past editions, in an international competition.

The collaboration with the international non-profit organization Bibliothèques sans frontières intends to facilitate access to ocean education for children and young citizens in vulnerable communities through the Ideas Box, a multimedia library of over 100 square meters equipped with internet connection, tablets, computers and more 250 books and games, as well as hundreds of training materials.

"The record number of subscribers to this year's edition demonstrates that we are going in the right direction and that Sea Beyond is capable of generating real change", comments Lorenzo Bertelli, Head of corporate social responsibility of the Prada group, adding that "the new partnership with Bibliothèquessans frontières is Sea Beyond's first humanitarian project: we want to inspire new generations by making them aware of the importance of the ocean and the need to preserve it without excluding anyone".
