Geretsried
– Which companies does the city have a stake in?
The members of the Main and Finance Committee were given insights at the most recent meeting.
Dimitrios Kiorvantsis from the Controlling Department at the town hall presented the participation report for 2021.
This shows directly and indirectly held investments with a shareholding of over five percent.
The municipal utilities' sales revenue increased by almost 20 percent
“With our municipal company, the municipal utilities, we don’t actually have to submit a report,” said Kiorvantsis.
But in a previous investigation, the Bavarian Municipal Audit Association recommended that the city prepare a report and update it annually.
“We will of course comply with this.” The report discussed at the meeting outlined the developments from the 2018 to 2021 financial years.
According to Kiorvantsis, the municipal utilities' sales revenue increased by almost 20 percent.
“After a loss of 327,000 euros in 2020, we have now landed at plus 865,000 euros,” reported the town hall employee.
Two effects played a significant role: Other operating income increased massively.
On the other hand, the income tax burden was lower than in the previous year.
Pleasing: “Overall, income increased in all divisions of the municipal utilities, especially in the wastewater division.” An increase of one million euros was recorded there.
According to Kiorvantsis, the reason for this is the fee increase that came into force on January 1, 2021.
The equity ratio of the city's subsidiary also rose: from 2018 to 2021 it rose by almost five points to 58.7 percent.
Wastewater association: income slightly lower than in 2020
The city of Geretsried is also involved in the wastewater association (AZV).
Its monetary and financial calculations are still mapped according to the principles of cameralistics, explained Kiorvantsis.
At a good three million euros, the income in the 2021 administrative budget was slightly lower than in 2020;
105,000 euros were added to the asset budget - an amount that is the same as in previous years.
According to Kiorvantsis, 17er Oberlandenergie GmbH had a very successful 2021 financial year.
It generated an annual profit of 623,000 euros (401,000 euros in the previous year).
The money will be allocated to retained earnings.
Because of the meager equity ratio (22.4 percent), a distribution does not make sense.
The first financial year of Isar-Loisach-Stromnetz GmbH was positive
Isar-Loisach-Stromnetz GmbH was operational for the first time in 2021 - it had only been founded the year before.
The first financial year was positive with a surplus of 674,000 euros.

However, things are completely different at Isar-Loisach Gasnetz GmbH.
Despite a positive operating result, the first financial year ended with an annual deficit of minus 84,000 euros.
The Geretsried financial expert reported that the trade tax provisions from the network sale, estimated at almost half a million euros, are to blame for the loss.
The committee noted the participation report for 2021.
It will be presented to the city council at its next meeting.
According to the table template, the personnel effort required to create the figures amounted to a total of six working days.
