Strange things can often be found in public toilets.
Recently, a confusing note on a piece of paper attracted attention.
Munich – Public toilets are often avoided, be it for hygiene reasons or a lack of privacy.
It is all the more important that guests adhere to the rules that apply there.
But what if a rule says that you should urinate at exactly 38 degrees?
“We thank you for your understanding,” concludes the curious note that was published on the Reddit platform.
The post caused laughter and a lot of confusion.
Urinate at exactly 38 degrees?
Users are looking for a possible explanation for the note
A user posted a notice of a public toilet on the subreddit “aberBitteLaminiert”, which is known for funny letters and written interactions in everyday life.
A few minutes later a discussion broke out about what what was pictured really meant.
As one user comments, it can be difficult to reach body temperature.
Another Reddit user wrote: "Well, I guess I'll have to urinate on a thermometer first."

Most people agree that the text was probably incorrectly translated into German.
But even the English version is grammatically incorrect.
The note on the note correctly translates: “Here are non-contact flushing mechanisms for urinals.
A temperature of 38 degrees Celsius is sufficient to trigger the flush.
The attached covers have no function.” That still doesn’t explain the context or why this is even necessary.
One user says that 38 degrees might not mean the “temperature of the pee”, but rather the temperature or infrared radiation of the hand.
The author of the Reddit post then replied that the flush also works without your hand.
"It's actually a mystery to me." In the near future, this mystery is unlikely to be solved either, as the location of the public toilet has not been revealed.
Whoever wrote the confusing text was also censored.
Most recently, a Reddit post on the topic of wild peeing caused a heated discussion: Users now seem to agree that the note says that you just shouldn't urinate in the direction of the surveillance camera.
